Established and registered in 2005, Remarkable Lives Trust was set up to educate, inspire and inform people and communities about money and teach self-reliance skills. We are a registered non profit organization passionate about the subject of personal financial management as we believe it is at the core of true independence and self reliance.
Our vision is to help release hope in responsive people so they can imagine and create improved lives for themselves, their families and their communities.
We do that by following our mission, which is to educate, inspire and inform people and communities about money and teach self-reliance skills.
We want to:
- To re-invent financial education, moving from the current product promotion information:
- to a broad based program that develops critical evaluation of personal financial matters and by doing so, we effect change of financial mindset.

- To help raise a new generation with skills that ensure financial self reliance and well-being

We Believe…
Financial education is economic self defense – it is an ability to make sound decisions throughout life, which requires basic skills and financial wisdom acquired through practice and experience.
We also believe that financial education is about character and values – not just the money. Mindful self-management of desires and values is essential to the management of social, family, and capital assets.

We hold dear the idea that:
- People need to learn and understand that we are created unique but with equal opportunities for experiencing life to the fullest.
- Remember that no more effort is required to aim high in life, to demand excellence and success, than is required to accept failure!
- People have rich resources of kindness and immense personal potential if they view themselves with love. This initiative encourages them to perceive themselves as special and worth while and by extension to give this respect to others.
- Teach people to rise in the idea of wealth creation, intelligence and man/womanly character, and stop economic slavery

Our Principals…
Winnie Sindi Kunene
Has more than 23 years of high productivity experience in business. 15 years of which have been spent in supervision and management of other resources including people. She has an excellent ability to work with people from different sectors of society - from judge to street sweeper.
She has carved her own successful career working with big corporations like (Liberty Life, Anglo American), Banks - (The World Bank and Nedbank/Nedcor), Foundations (Liberty Life, African Bank and Nisela Community Trust) and non-governmental organizations – locally and internationally.
Winnie is a trustee of Hantam Community Trust, Ort Step South Africa , non executive director MBD Attorneys and Rain Chartered Accountants. She is a founder member and director of Classic FM South Africa. She started the African Bank Foundation from scratch, managed and directed a Micro Finance company specializing in provision of low cost housing finance, started and managed a microfinance company geared to lend money to small and micro enterprises. Her experience in financial education of the masses is inspiring. She produced and continue to conduct personal financial management talk shows on Thetha FM and Kasi FM - community radio stations.
Winnie studied Business Management at The University of Witwatersrand, attained a post graduate qualification from GIMT, and attended the Senior Executive Program Harvard Business School in Boston USA.
Zandile Eunice Majova
Zandi has a teaching background. Her grass roots interpersonal skills are remarkable. She has an amazing ability to introduce and explain concepts to people in the most basic ways and her message is always well understood.
Zandi moved from teaching into business 25 years ago and has been involved in the Social Development arena for more than 15 years.
She supervised all Liberty Life’s community development projects specializing in early childhood development.
She joined African Bank Foundation in 2001 where she was a project coordinator of the Foundation. Zandi is currently managing an independent social development consultancy. She studied Business Management at Wits University.
